Durham is a foodie town and a comprehensive list of restaurants is a bit much for us to prepare so we will tell you about a few of our favorites and point in in the direction of services that house a more complete list.
Actually our little town has been ranked as the “Foodiest Small Town in America.” This is pretty amazing for And the CVB tells us “Nearly 40 Durham restaurants and chefs have earned reputations in high profile media sources such as Bon Appétit, Gourmet, The New York Times, and Food & Wine.” The CVB has developed an award winning site http://www.durham-nc.com/dining/ and they have a great list of local resources including restaurants.
Many restaurants are in Erwin Terrace near TGIF.

Meelos Italian with a Spanish Flair – nearby and scrumptious
Tobacco Road is located next to DPAC and overlooks the Durham Bulls Baseball Field
Mad Hatter has wonderful baked goods and unusual sandwiches in a relaxed setting
Parazide a nice evening when you have time
Bull City Brewery is a rustic Micro Brewery with fresh made burgers and dogs
Piazza Italia in Brightleaf Square
Nannas on University Drive $$$
Bullocks BBQ – casual, busy, Closed Sunday and Monday, Cash
Dos Perros – Mexican in the Downtown area
Chamas Brazilian – this is an evening experience $$$ Closed Sunday and Monday
Shanghai Chinese, Delivery Available to the Brookwood but din in is more fun if you have time.
The Brookwood Inn Shuttle can drop you off at restaurants withing 3 miles of the hotel during normal operating hours.
Of course we also have a variety of Pizza, and sandwich delivery restaurants. We will eventually add them here but they are currently listed in the guest directory near the television.
